Meistersaal in a casino style

For one night only, the Meistersaal was transformed into a glitzy casino, with a red carpet, gaming tables and a live band. The lights were dimmed. The guests wore smoking jackets and other festive evening wear.

Models show off the new collection on the catwalk

During the 20-minute fashion show, the models sported the latest styles for the coming winter. Cord and velvet set the scene. This was complemented by knitwear made of high-quality merino wool and shirts with gambling chips printed on them. The guests were amazed, and the applause during the show was thunderous.

Gambling the night away

As playing cards rained down, the designers took to the catwalk and opened the gaming tables. CG – CLUB of GENTS chips were used for playing black jack and roulette.  Late into the night, the gambling continued, the new collection was admired, and the parquet glowed.

/// Christmas party ///

On 23 November 2018, BONAVA DEUTSCHLAND GMBH held its traditional Christmas party at the Motorwerk in Berlin-Weissensee. Around 600 guests accepted the invitation to attend this extraordinary event venue, which opened in the 1990s as the “Halle Weissensee” and welcomed acts such as Kraftwerk, The Velvet Underground, Motörhead and The Ramones.

To kick off the show, the composer, producer and musician RALPH LIGHT played the songs of these great musicians on his laser harp, and impressed the audience with a thrilling light performance.

A special culinary experience was provided by mobile food trucks and live cooking stations, which surprised with innovative local street food such as Eisbein (ham hock), Currywurst, and Königsberger Klopse (meatballs in white sauce).

The “Kommunale Klimapartnerschaften” project is jointly realised by Servicestelle Kommunen in der Einen Welt (Service Agency Communities in One World – SKEW), Engagement Global, and Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Agenda 21 NRW e.V. (LAG 21 NRW). The project is supported by two committee decisions made by the Deutscher Städtetag (German Association of Cities), as well as by the Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund (German Association of Towns & Cities) and the Deutscher Landkreistag (German Rural District Association).

/// Award Ceremony ///

With the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (German Computer Games Award – DCP), the Bundesverkehrsministerium (Federal Ministry of Transport – BMVI) and the industry associations BIU and GAME annually recognise excellent German computer game production. There are 24 award categories. The location of the award ceremony alternates annually between Munich and Berlin.

/// The project ///

We help to
set the stage

With expertise, the right technology, an eye for details and oodles of creativity, BESL ensured that the 2014 ceremony in Munich and the 2015 ceremony in Berlin had the right setting. From the design and equipment of the stage and decorative installations, to the scenery: The interaction between design, function and technology brought the fantastic worlds seen in computer games to life, and ensured that the award ceremonies were great events for more than 500 guests from the computer and video gaming industries, as well as from the economic, political and cultural spheres.

Glamorous gala
with well-known speakers

TV presenter Funda Vanroy was the compère in Munich. Fellow presenter Judith Rakers hosted the ceremony in Berlin. Celebrity guests presented each of the prestigious awards, and impressed with their presence and laudatory speeches. There was also live music: Yasmina Hunzinger & Kim Sanders played a fantastic live set in Munich, and in Berlin, the band Laing left guests mesmerised.

Enthusiasm is
the key to success

BESL succeeded in perfectly staging awards ceremonies that impressed the illustrious guests, and which received a large amount of media and press coverage. This was an example of conversation being generated through successful events, and public interest being piqued. The aims of promoting the relevance and acceptance of the sectors within the industry were therefore met. Special guests included politicians Alexander Dobrindt and Michael Müller, writer Oliver Kalkofe and TV presenter Nova Meierhenrich.
